BICSI expanding design-training program

April 6, 2014
The Authorized Design Training Provider Program will license BICSI-approved training organizations to offer the association’s design-training curriculum.

Beginning on July 1, 2014, BICSI’s design-training program will be offered through approved, licensed training organizations around the globe. Through this upgraded Authorized Design Training Provider (ADTP) Program, BICSI says it is expanding upon its “commitment to broader local outreach, as the program allows for BICSI design training to be taught by approved training organizations worldwide.” It added, “This outreach helps to bring training closer to BICSI members and stakeholders, allowing them to stay up-to-date on the latest industry advancements.”

ADTPs are BICSI-approved organizations that are licensed to offer BICSI design training, the association explained. They use the same curriculum, classroom equipment and materials that are offered in classes conducted by BICSI. “Organizations accepted into the ADTP program can offer BICSI ICT distribution design courses, providing designers worldwide with access to training in the proper methods of design, integration and implementation of telecommunications and data technology systems and their related infrastructure,” BICSI noted.

BICSI President Michael Collins, RCDD, RTPM, CCDA, NCE commented, “BICSI strives to provide as much relevant education as possible to ICT professionals so they may excel in their careers. The ADTP program allows for training organizations to teach BICSI courses while adhering to BICSI’s stringent quality-control guidelines. We are excited to offer this expanded avenue of training delivery to the ICT community.”

BICSI is currently accepting applications to participate in the ADTP program.
