Cabling Installation & Maintenance has extended the submission deadline for its 2018 Cabling Innovators Awards to Friday, May 18. The program recognizes innovation among manufacturers, distributors, designers, installers and users of communications-systems products and systems.
Now in its fourth year, the program will for the first time in 2018 include categories. Among the categories are “Applications and Case Studies,” and “Value-Added Programs.” In soliciting entries to the Applications and Case Studies category, Cabling Installation & Maintenance says, “Tell us the whole story about a project you were part of, that displayed the innovative characteristics we honor in this program. Customer-focused and collaborative approaches to projects and cabling-system deployments make a project shine through the value chain—from manufacturer to distributor to design and installation pro to end-user organization. This category recognizes innovative and showpiece projects that are exemplary.”
Similarly, describing the Value-Added Programs category, Cabling Installation & Maintenance says, “If your organization has launched a program that improves or enhances the way ICT professionals carry out their work, it’s worthy of recognition in this category. Anything from a warranty program, to an as-a-service offering, to training and education offerings can be entered here.”
The other categories in the Cabling Innovators Awards program are product-based. They are:
- Active infrastructure devices
- Cable protection and management
- Cabling media
- Connection and crossconnection devices
- Distribution and routing equipment
- Specialized equipment and materials
- Splicing and termination equipment
- Test equipment
