A web seminar hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and delivered by Panduit will offer a detailed and practical examination of the cabling architecture known as "zone cabling." On Wednesday, October 17, Panduit product manager Clark Kromenaker will deliver a one-hour presentation entitled "The Evolution of Enterprise Zone Cabling."
A description of the topic and the presentation states, "As enterprise buildings have evolved, becoming larger and more complex, so have structured cabling installations. A zone cabling topology reduces the amount of cable used to connect end points to the network, while still allowing for high-bandwidth, flexible applications. Panduit designed its world headquarters around a zone cabling topology. By utilizing space under the raised floor, Panduit was able to maximize their real estate as well as allow for easier moves, adds and changes throughout the life of the enterprise."
The seminar will discuss the zone topology in general as an approach to structured cabling networks, and also will provide specific examples of benefits and efficiencies gained when the topology was put in place at Panduit's facility. Additionally, the webcast will discuss how to successfully deploy a zone architecture as well as its ability to enable smart and connected buildings.
After the seminar is delivered live at 1pm EDT on October 17, it will be available for viewing on-demand for six months.
