ATLANTA, Ga. -- Automated Systems Design, Inc. (ASD), a nationally recognized manufacturer of structured cabling products and high-speed networks, announces that vice president Kevin Kiziah has been promoted to president of ASD. Founded by CEO Bob Eskew in 1986, ASD now employs approximately 33 associates nationwide and more than 700 Authorized ASD Installers (AASDIs, pronounced “as-dee”). In 2009, ASD completed more than 4,400 different projects for clients in over 2,250 zip codes. With a growth of 42.25 percent between Q3 2008 and Q3 2009, ASD was named a Top Ten Growth Company by Entrex Private Company Index (PCI).

ASD provides manufacturing and installation of cabling products, design and install of security and access control systems, and Voice over IP installations. In addition to designing and installing technology for customers, ASD also provides project management for national clients that seek a single point of contact, including projects that involve moves, adds, or changes.

ASD is also a manufacturer and service provider of structured cabling systems and cable components for voice and data for commercial offices, including iCAT-ITS Category 5E, Category 6E, and 10-Gigabit Category 6a cables. ASD’s iGLO-ITS fiber optic products are based on the MTP style of connectorization known as Snap ‘N Glo. ASD products, which are made at the company’s seven manufacturing plants located throughout the world, are sold under the brand names iCAT-ITS and iGLO-ITS.

Kiziah began working with ASD in 1995 in the sales department. In 1997, he was responsible for opening a branch office, and he became a regional sales manager in 1998. In 2001, Kiziah was promoted to vice president where he was responsible for the daily operations of the company. Now, in his new role as president, Kiziah will focus on continuing to drive the growth of ASD while maintaining high quality services and products.

“When I started with ASD, we were a relatively small company in the Southeast,” said Kiziah. “Today ASD delivers daily support to many Fortune 1000 companies for any type of low voltage technology,” said Kiziah. “As Internet Protocol (IP) has grown, so have our services. If a device has an IP address, ASD can deploy that device anywhere throughout North America with a single call, something our clients have come to appreciate over the years.”
