CHR Solutions Launches New 24/7 Construction Help Line for Broadband Construction Crews
Per a recent Fiber Broadband Association (FBA) post, CHR Solutions is addressing obstacles broadband construction crews commonly face, including property disputes, underground utilities, and more, with the launch of its Construction Help Line. This 24/7 engineering support service is an industry first that provides construction teams with communication access to the engineers who designed their plans.
The CHR Construction Help Line was made with broadband construction crews in mind, with the FBA saying that it “solves a major industry pain point: the need for immediate answers to design-related questions encountered in the field—especially when conditions differ from the original plans”. From helping with rerouting around unforeseen underground utilities to accommodating changing environments, crews are now able to text project details and get direct support from the engineer who designed the sheet within minutes.
“This isn’t just about convenience—it’s about reducing downtime, avoiding costly mistakes, and accelerating time to market,” said Bob Bartz, Executive Vice President of Engineering at CHR Solutions. “As a former construction guy now running an engineering firm, I know how critical real-time access is. The CHR Construction Help Line helps clients monetize builds faster and avoid the expense and disruption of rework.”
The line comes at no additional fee and can be used by any client using CHR’s engineering designs, including clients who haven’t contracted CHR for construction oversight. The service can be particularly helpful for projects where construction is in progress without an engineer being on-site. CHR’s Construction Help Line has recently been made available, with the company planning on including contact information on all CHR-issued sheets going forward.
“Field changes that aren’t communicated—like relocating an access point—can lead to failed installs, incorrect splicing, and lost revenue,” Bartz added. “This direct line to our engineers helps prevent service delays and costly miscommunication. This simple tool has the potential to save clients tens of thousands of dollars per project.”
