In response to next-generation homes requiring an infrastructure that supports high-bandwidth networks, Ortronics/Legrand (www.ortronics.com) is teaming up with Information Systems Management Solutions (ISMS; www.is-ms.com) to provide a collaboration of resources for consultants, systemdesigners, developers, and planners.

“To fulfill the promise touted by triple-play service providers and to keep up with the ever changing technology needs of the consumer, it will be critical that our industry bring infrastructure networks that efficiently and effectively deliver service,” says Chris Adams, marketing manager at Ortronics. “It will be equally important that these networks have the ability to adapt and adjust to the changes in technology, lifestyle requirements, and content volume.”

The companies say the alliance has been brought about by the redefining of the design of intelligent homenetworks, due to the increasing amount of multimedia content and number of broadband users as well as a need to incorporate other home automation systems.

ISMS specializes in fiber/wireless communications network design and deployment, “smart home” design, and comprehensive communicationsinfrastructure planning (CCIP).Ortronics/Legrand—along with sister companies Wiremold, Cablofil, and On-Q—will provide a full complement of structured cabling solutions, services, and support.
