The MiniMass fully automatic fusion splicer weighs 33/4 pounds and measures 6.8 x 7.3 x 2.6 inches. The splicer offers a typical splice loss of less than 0.05 decibel for identical singlemode fibers in a controlled environment. The unit is equipped to splice one fiber and 12-fiber ribbons, and all combinations in between. An optional case provides workstation capability.
