The Underground Cable Location Kit traces the location and path of buried cable or metal pipelines to 7-foot depths. It uses a silent RF generator to send a 1-kHz signal along the conductor`s path. A handheld receiver senses the RF tone as the operator moves within range. The receiver is equipped with a signal-strength meter for visual indication and a speaker for audible-signal indication.
