Optical-spectrum analyzer

March 1, 1997
The MS9710A optical-spectrum analyzer tests optical-spectrum wavelengths from 600 to 1750 nanometers with 70 dB of dynamic range. The 32-pound analyzer has preprogrammed measurements that include gain tilt, power at wavelength, peak and valley search, as many as 50 channel markers and polarization-mode dispersion analysis. Other features are a built-in printer, floppy disk drive, and user-definable keys.
