Connector viewer

tii-Ditel has designed the fcv-1 connector viewer for inspections of fiber-optic connectors in patch panels and sophisticated transmission equipment, eliminating the need to disassemble a connector from the adapter when you are inspecting a panel- or backplane-mounted connector for dirt or damage. The viewer`s 14-inch, insulated, rigid probe houses a built-in miniature ccd camera and affords access to the rear of the chassis. The camera focuses on the ferrule surface of the installed connector.

The viewer`s 14-inch, insulated, rigid probe houses a built-in miniature ccd camera and affords access to the rear of the chassis. The camera focuses on the ferrule surface of the installed connector. This device is suitable for manufacturers, users, and field technicians. The unit comes in a lockable carrying case with a connector adapter, one connector adapter tip (FC, ST, SC, or SC backplane), a 4-inch lcd monitor, rechargeable battery, six AA batteries, and an alternating- current main power adapter. The connector viewer is priced at $5400.
