Tester

June 1, 1998
The PathFinder Tester works on T568A/B, 10Base-T, twisted-pair/ physical media-dependent, Token Ring, and Universal Service Order Code wiring. The unit enables a technician to locate termination addresses, test continuity, and verify configuration for installed twisted-pair and coaxial cabling from one location. This mapping, testing, and troubleshooting device operates with up to four remote modules, each with its own electronic address, allowing the tester to identify specific cable-connection

This mapping, testing, and troubleshooting device operates with up to four remote modules, each with its own electronic address, allowing the tester to identify specific cable-connection addresses. High-intensity light-emitting diodes indicate cable and connection status and wiring faults, including reversals, opens, shorts, miswires, and split-pair conditions. A coaxial-cable port identifies cable conditions such as shorts and center conductor breaks.
