August 31, 2005 - Universal support system features all-steel construction for fire resistance.

Erico has released its CADDY SPEED LINK, a universal support system that features all-steel construction for fire resistance.

The CADDY SPEED LINK carries a DIN 4102-2 F30-A fire rating of 30 minutes at maximum rated load for 2-mm wire rope and an F60-A fire rating of 60 minutes at maximum rated load for 3-mm wire rope.

The CADDY SPEED LINK is designed to reduce installation time, inventory, storage space and shipping costs with its small, light-weight design. It can be used in a variety of suspension applications and can be used as a stand-alone system or with an assortment of CADDY Fasteners. It features a strong, flexible steel wire rope with a specially engineered hook at one end that serves as the means of support.

CADDY SPEED LINK's steel locking device is designed to ensure stability and allow for adjustment of the supported object both during and after installation. The lock can be released with the included release tool or with a small screwdriver. The 2-mm wire rope supports static loads of up to 100 lbs. The 3-mm wire rope handles static loads of up to 200 lbs. Both have a five-to-one safety factor.

The system installs without drilling and allows objects to be hung at a variety of angles - even from sloped ceilings. It supports a wide range of applications including cable tray, lighting, ductwork, electrical busway, pipe and tube, conduit, strut profiles and signage from overhead building structural members.

CADDY SPEED LINK is available in single-use packs or in packs of five or 10 and boxes of 25, 50 or 100 depending on the size of the wire rope. The individual packages include a lock, a key, instructions and either a 2-mm or 3-mm wire rope.

Erico is based in Solon, OH. For more information visit www.erico.com.
