August 31, 2005 - New fiber connectivity solutions are designed to assist end users and installers by offering factory or field termination options.

Systimax Solutions has introduced its new Systimax InstaPATCH Plus and G2 System of fiber connectivity solutions.

The solutions are designed to assist both end users and installers by offering either factory or field termination options.

The new solutions are designed to simplify design, configuration and ordering of fiber apparatus. They were designed through in-depth consultations with both installers and end-users to ensure usability, practicality and flexibility. The new G2 System, which is supplied either in factory or field-terminated options, offers a high-density, modular fiber connectivity solution that is designed to allow installers to connect system components together simply and quickly.

Systimax Solutions representatives argue that the InstaPATCH Solution is particularly important for organizations' data centers that have space and deployment constraints for the fiber solutions needed to connect servers and switches. The new system components are designed to reduce on-site installation time by more than 90% and provide data centers with a smooth migration path from serial to parallel optical transmission technologies as they are added in the future.

These fiber connectivity solutions will be available in all Systimax fiber solutions, including laser optimized multimode and zero water peak singlemode options supporting speeds up to and beyond 10 Gbits/sec. They also form an integral part of the Systimax LazrSPEED and TeraSPEED end-to-end fiber solutions.

"Information Technology managers are required to deliver services cost effectively while being faced with an increasing number of users, sites and applications, often in less space," says Chin Choi-Feng, product manager, fiber optic apparatus, Systimax Solutions. "We believe the new InstaPATCH Plus and G2 Systems allow a greater design flexibility, higher density and higher performance while reducing the installation time and cost of ownership."

Systimax Solutions is based in Richardson, TX. For more information visit www.systimax.com.
