ADC adds RiserGuide to FiberGuide product family

Nov. 17, 2005 - System is designed to provide flexible, optimized cable management and tool-free installation.

ADC has announced the availability of the RiserGuide on-demand cable management system as part of its FiberGuide product family.

The ADC RiserGuide system is comprised of a variety of components, built upon ADC's Snap-Fit platform. It is designed to provide flexible, optimized cable management and tool-free installation for both horizontal and vertical rack riser applications. The RiserGuide system can be installed between active equipment racks or cabinets for a vertical application as well as directly in the rack or cabinet for horizontal applications.

In the past, active equipment had far less fiber to be managed. Now, with the increase in density and number of ports, customers are realizing that cable management is becoming a make-or-break issue that must be addressed to create and maintain robust and secure networks. RiserGuide is designed to safely and efficiently route fibers for optimum network performance.

"Because cable management requirements often change with network requirements, the ADC FiberGuide product family now includes the RiserGuide system, which is designed to provide cable management where you need it and when you need it," says Thomas Huegerich, director of fiber products for ADC. "RiserGuide is flexible, modular and easy to both install and remove, allowing for on-the-spot cable management and full network optimization. This system is for customers who require cable management solutions that go beyond the out-of-the-box solution that may already be in place."

ADC now offers a variety of standard RiserGuide products and its Snap-Fit platform allows the company to also offer customized solutions to suit specific customer needs and applications. The RiserGuide system is part of ADC's FiberGuide product family that is designed to provide routing paths and optimal cable management to organize and protect vital fiber cables. The system is designed to assure that the correct bend radius is maintained regardless of which components and sections are assembled.

ADC is based in Minneapolis, MN. For more information visit www.adc.com.
