Corning Cable Systems (www.corningcablesystems.com) announced that Team Fishel is the first member of the Corning Total Access Program. The program is designed to provide highly qualified broadband specialists with the tools necessary to ensure successful fiber-to-the-home deployments. Certified Total Access Program members receive all-inclusive access to Corning's FTTH solution. After completing specialized training in the design and installation of optical access networks, program members are able to offer their customers up to a 10-year extended product warranty on complete Corning FTTH solutions.

Team Fishel (www.teamfishel.com), based in Columbus, OH, has been a utility contractor for almost 70 years, installing telephone, gas, electric, and cable networks nationwide. Today the contractor installs these utilities at the same time, including connections for voice, video, and data early in construction.

"With Corning's support, we can add value for the service provider and residential developer by bringing complete end-to-end FTTH solutions for the communities we connect," says John Phillips, president of Team Fishel. "We are very excited to become the first communications contractor in Corning's Total Access Program."

"Together, Corning and Team Fishel can provide developers with the technical engineering, construction, and installation resources to fast-track a new fiber-to-the-home community and help increase the value of their planned community," adds Rick Keeler, director of market development for Team Fishel.

Through its Evolant Solution for Access Networks, Corning Cable Systems offers portfolios of products and services that enable customers to cost-effectively deploy fiber in the last mile.
