July 27, 2005 - Integral Access's PurePacket compliments Telco Systems' existing IP product line, which includes solutions for residential and enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

Telco Systems has announced the acquisition of Integral Access, the developer of the carrier-class PurePacket IP based multi-service access platform for delivery of
converged voice and data.

The acquisition will enable Telco Systems to make further inroads with next generation network carriers, Competitive Local Exchange Carriers (CLECs) and alternative service providers.

With the PurePacket platform, Telco Systems can also offer an IP managed network migration solution for TDM-based circuit-switched carriers. PurePacket compliments Telco Systems' existing IP product line, which includes solutions for metro Ethernet access rings, residential and enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), FTTx and WiFi backhaul.

"The acquisition of Integral Access further expands our ability to help next-generation network service providers build out their emerging IP packet networks," says Bob Resinger, COO of Telco Systems.

"Additionally, now we can offer traditional TDM circuit-switched carriers a migration path to a managed IP network infrastructure to deliver integrated business and residential voice and data services," Resinger continues. "The acquisition embodies our commitment to integrating circuit and packet-switched technologies onto flexible platforms."

PurePacket is an IP-optimized system for next generation networks that also assists in network migration by supporting a wide range of legacy services. In addition, it can be deployed as an access gateway for softswitch-based architectures for VoIP and data services or with Class 5 central office switches. The system can be connected to the service provider's network using Ethernet-based interfaces using L2 or L3 marking as well as TDM-based interfaces such as DS1/E1 and DS3. The PurePacket system is designed for in-building, small campus, and co-location/central office-based deployment
and service delivery.

Integral Access is based in Chelmsford, MA. Telco Systems is based in Foxboro, MA. For more information visit www.telco.com.
