The Telecommunications Industry Association will hold an all-day networking, business development and educational seminar on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The event will take place from 9 to 5 p.m. at the Westin Hotel at 2 Whippany Road, Morristown, N.J.

The event, which is free to TIA members and $99 for non-members, is titled "TIA Advantage: Strategies and Solutions to Grow Your Business." This is part of a continuing series focusing on ways to manage and grow small businesses.

The morning education program features sessions on how to get a share of federal government contracts through Small Business Administration resources, ways to secure export financing through Export-Import Bank programs, and legal information about patents and antitrust issues. The afternoon industry forum will explore profitable partnerships with an interactive panel discussion.

Those who attend the event will gain insight to procurement trends at large companies such as Telcordia; hear success stories from companies such as woman-owned Intersect Inc.; learn how to establish strategic alliances with potential partners; and network with and generate sales leads from potential clients from both small and large companies.
