A report released by The Strategis Group (Washington, D.C. (www.strategis.com) indicates that cable overbuilds may not be losing propositions. "While the numbers are far from making a compelling case in favor of overbuilds, they clearly demonstrate the potential represented by offering a full slate of voice, video and data services in bigger, densely populated markets," says Robert Jones, Strategis Group executive vice president. According to the report, an overbuilding offering voice service plus high-speed Internet and video services could expect operating cash flows to be 30 percent greater than if only video and high-speed data were offered.
