BICCGeneral (Highland Heights, KY; www.biccgeneral.com) is expected to close by the end of the third quarter on a deal to acquire Mexico cable manufacturer Telmag and its subsidiaries. The Telmag facilities, which are capable of manufacturing a broad range of state-of-the-art telecommunications cables, give BICCGeneral "the ability to meet the growing needs of our current telecommunications customers while also giving us the needed capacity to expand our presence in the important Mexican, Caribbean and Central/South American markets," according to CEO Stephen Rabinowitz.
