Fiberworks (Lawrenceville, GA; www.fiberworks.com) and Corning Incorporated (Corning, NY; www.corning.com) will provide 15 Southeastern U.S. cities with citywide, all-optical broadband access and transport systems. The networks will eliminate the bandwidth bottlenecks that occur in the metro portion of public Internet and telecommunications networks by combining the market with direct, all-fiber, wholesale connectivity.
