Norfolk Wire & Electronics has opened a warehouse/office facility in Raleigh, N.C.
The new Raleigh office is the company's fourth branch, joining Richmond, Virginia Beach and Greenville, S.C.
Norfolk Wire & Electronics is a wholesale distributor of networking products for voice, data, sound and video applications in businesses and homes. The company sells cable, optical fiber and related connectivity products for networking, automation and security needs. The company employees 57 people and stocks $2.6 million worth of products in 50,000 square feet of space.
The company has doubled sales from 2001 to 2002 and expects to realize similar results in 2003, with projected sales of $21 million companywide. Ron Hurley, major stockholder in the company, attributes the primary reason for the company's success in a down market to "providing an exceptionally high level of service helping our customers become more profitable."
