FNT helps Boeing with test flight monitoring

June 11, 2003 - Optical fiber training company enables airplane manufacturer to remotely locate equipment.

The Consulting Division of FNT - Fiber Network Training & Consulting recently helped the Boeing Corporation, Apache Helicopter Division with a project relating to site air-traffic management and test flight monitoring systems of the Apache Helicopter.

The distance and bandwidth of the transmission exceeded copper capabilities. FNT representatives helped Boeing reach the final solution and remotely locate the equipment using optical fiber.

FNT has several years of experience in security system integration, remote station sampling and monitoring system design, security system manufacturing, and integration of Doppler radar monitoring devices and high-resolution video surveillance from distances in excess of 30 kilometers.

Others in the defense industry that rely on FNT for optical fiber technology include the U.S. Marine Corps, Raytheon, Martin Marietta, The U.S. Coast Guard and General Dynamics.
