March 12, 2001 AI/FOCS Inc., (www.aifocs.com) has announced expansion plans involving U.S. headquarters in Franklin, Massachusetts, and manufacturing and support facilities in Mexico and the United Kingdom. The Franklin facility will be expanded to 70,000 square feet to accommodate the expanded production line and the supporting personnel. The facility is expected to be completed by May, 2001. An adjoining facility consisting of 119,000 square feet is under construction in Woodhead Industries' facility in Juarez, Mexico, with a projected completion date of June, 2001. Woodhead Connectivity Europe, located in Wales, U.K., has provided 7,000 square feet of their facility to manufacture fiber optic assemblies which has been up and running since December, 2000.
