AI/FOCS changes name to Advanced Interconnect

August 28, 2001 AI/FOCS (www.aifocs.com) has changed its name back to Advanced Interconnect. "In preparation for the geographic expansion of our business, we have decided to drop our somewhat cumbersome AI/FOCS Inc. name," states Brian Payson, president, Advanced Interconnect Inc. "Advanced Interconnect or 'A.I.' as most people refer to us, will be easier to use and understand as we plan for our regional expansion in the US, Europe, and Asia."

Concurrent with the name change, Advanced Interconnect is increasing sales coverage to address the data communications market. "We've always had the manufacturing capability to meet the changing needs of the data communications market," states Payson. "Now we will install the necessary sales infrastructure to properly penetrate that market segment." The company has expanded its production capabilities in its facilities in the U.K. and Mexico.
