Progressive Electronics officially takes Tempo name

November 29, 2001 Now called Tempo-Mesa, the company's products will also transition to the Tempo brand name.

The company long known as Progressive Electronics has officially taken the Tempo name. The company is now called Tempo-Mesa.

Textron Inc. acquired Progressive Electronics in October 1999. Equipment under the Progressive brand name will be transitioning to the Tempo brand name and label over the next several months. Tempo-Mesa continues to operate from its location at 325 South Eldorado in Mesa, AZ. Telephone numbers remain (480) 966-2931 and (800) 528-8224.

Established in 1971 with the original patented tones and probes, the former Progressive Electronics develops products for voice and data communications, electrical, electronics, HVAC, security alarm, and irrigation industries.
