Optical Cable Corp. names CFO, other board member

September 13, 2001 Optical Cable Corp. has named Neil Wilkin chief financial officer and elected him to the company's board of directors. The company also named Thomas R. Brock a board member.

September 13, 2001 Optical Cable Corp. (www.occfiber.com) has named Neil Wilkin chief financial officer and elected him to the company's board of directors. The company also named Thomas R. Brock a board member. These appointments increase the number of people on the company's board to seven.

Wilkin was previously CFO and treasurer at Homebytes.com, a homeselling service for independent homesellers. Previously, he worked at law firms in Richmond, VA and Washington, DC.

Brock retired from General Electric in 1995, and has since managed Brock Associates, a consulting firm in Roanoke, VA. Brock had been an officer at General Electric and served as vice president of General Electric Industrial Systems and Services.
