September 21, 2001 To help companies better position themselves in approaching the investment community, the TIA (www.tiaonline.org) has released a white paper titled "Getting VC's Attention—Telling Them What They Want to See and Hear."
The document provides advice for companies poised to approach potential investors, such as guidelines for writing an executive summary, developing a business plan that gets companies seeking funding a face-to-face meeting with a venture capitalist (VC), and enhancing a presentation to keep VCs interested.
"TIA is pleased to assist its members with capital formation and provide them with one of the critical tools innovators need to gain a competitive edge in the evolving communications marketplace," says TIA president Matthew J. Flanigan.
