June 4, 2001 At this week's SUPERCOMM conference in Atlanta, Sunrise Telecom Incorporated (www.sunrisetelecom.com) will introduce a hand-held 10 Gbps test set for installation and maintenance of high-speed optical networks. The SunSet 10G claims to be the first such product in the industry.

The tester features a color screen and logical operator interface structure designed to be easy to use with minimal training. SunSet 10G also conforms to both North American (SONET) and International (SDH) standards for optical transmission. It joins Sunrise Telecom's SunSet OCx and SunSet SDH product families, designed for testing applications throughout the network, from the core network to the access network.

Currently, the SunSet 10G is scheduled for field trials during third quarter 2001 with shipments beginning in the latter part of 2001.
