June 1, 2001 The Telecommunications Industry Association's (www.tiaonline.org) business-to-business online exchange has been renamed TIAB2B to emphasize the close relationship to its parent organization and highlight the site's e-commerce services and features.

Through affiliation with Unibex, Inc., an application service provider (ASP), the TIAB2B online exchange now offers e-commerce solutions that are geared to the telecommunications industry's small and medium-sized businesses. TIAB2B provides a complete e-business system, including a Virtual Trade Show, Website hosting, and e-commerce catalogues of products and services.

"Using our expertise and investment as a springboard into e-business makes sense for companies that want to gain customers and increase sales, but do not have the resources to develop their own platforms from the ground up," said TIAB2B managing director Andrew Kurtzman.

The site, formerly called GetCommStuff, will keep its popular free services such as the glossary, white papers, and database of value-added resellers.
