Colin Browitt, RCDD of Blackburn, Victoria, Australia has been elected to serve a two-year term on BICSI's (www.bicsi.org) board of directors. Browitt will represent the members within Region 8, which encompasses Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Guam, and other islands in the South Pacific. Regional directors aid the association by providing member support, education, and credentials in all aspects of the design and installation of voice, data, and video technologies.
Browitt is a trainer for The Siemon Co., and holds an associate diploma in electronic engineering, as well as a technician and technical officer certificate from Telecom Australia. He acquired the Registered Communications Distribution Designer designation from BICSI in 1999.
"We have accomplished much since the BICSI Australia office first opened in 1998, and I will continue our membership growth and educational development," Browitt said. He will begin his term January 1; Browitt will represent Region 8 at BICSI's Winter Conference in Orlando FL January 21-25 and at the BICSI South Pacific Conference in Sydney, Australia February 25-27.
