October 10, 2001 The fiber-optic provider makes a deal with a real estate developer that owns 10 million square feet of office space.
Con Edison Communications (www.electricfiber.com), a provider of fiber-optic network services in metropolitan New York, recently signed an agreement with Rudin Management Company (www.55broad.com/rudinman), a privately held real-estate developer serving the Tri-State area. Under the agreement, Con Eidson will provide fiber-optic connectivity to multitenant commercial properties owned or managed by Rudin.
The Rudin organization has developed and now owns and manages 22 residential buildings comprising 3,500 units, and approximately 10 million square feet of office space in 18 commercial buildings.
Con Edison Communications services are a logical choice for property owners whose business visibility and competitive edge in the marketplace depends on having technically advanced office environments for current and future tenants, commented John J. Gilbert III, Rudin Managements executive vice president and chief operating officer.
