Omnitron introduces T1/E1 managed media converter

Omnitron Systems Technology Inc. (www.omnitron-systems.com) is introducing the iConverter T1/E1 fiber converter module.

The iConverter targets the needs of enterprise users as well as telecom ISPs, CLECs, and ILECs that require Internet and voice access. It extends T1 or E1 trunk distances over fiber to 58 km and supports advanced network management for both the customer premises and central office.

The iConverter supports ANSI, AT&T, ITU and ETSI standards along with AMI, B8ZS and HDB3 line codes. It is available with SC, ST, MT-RJ or LC fiber connectors for multimode or singlemode fiber and RJ-45/RJ-48 and BNC copper connectors with a built-in line crossover switch that eliminates the need for crossover cabling.
