The FOA to co-sponsor ComNet

July 5, 2001 The Fiber Optic Association has joined with IDG World Expo as a co-sponsor of ComNet, a communications conference and exhibition.

July 5, 2001 The Fiber Optic Association (www.thefoa.org), a professional society of fiber optics, has joined with IDG World Expo as a co-sponsor of ComNet, a communications conference and exhibition. The next ComNet event will be held January 29 to 31, 2002 in Washington, D.C. As a co-sponsor, The Fiber Optic Association will exhibit at the show and hold a membership meeting during the conference.

The organization was founded in 1995 and currently has more than 6,000 members. More than 4,000 of those members have completed requirements for the association's Certified Fiber Optic Technician certification.
