July 17, 2001 On Friday, July 20 a one-hour Internet-based radio program entitled "The Whole Wired World" will air for the first time. Amanda Finch, editor-in-chief of Electronic House magazine, will host the weekly show. The first show will air at 4:00 Eastern Time on July 20, at the web site www.voiceamerica.com. Each weekly show will feature call-in and e-mail segments, said EH Publishing, publishers of Electronic House.
The company describes the show as "a consumer program tackling trends and questions related to technology in the home." The topic of the premier show will be an introduction to smart homes—what they are and how you get them. Friday's guests include Rachel Cericola, editor-in-chief of Home Automation magazine; and Roy Shumacher, vice president of sales and marketing of Invensys Network Systems.
