April 25, 2001 Premises-network optical-equipment provider Sun Conversion Technologies (www.sunconversion.com) signed a distribution agreement with Graybar (www.graybar.com). Under terms of the agreement, Graybar now offers Sun Conversion Technologies' media-conversion and related passive and active optical products for fiber-to-the-desk applications. Sun's product line includes standalone and rack-mount media converters, optical cable assemblies, network interface cards, desktop hubs, and switches. The active devices accommodate 10- and 100-Mbit/sec data-transmission protocols, and are available with legacy and small-form-factor connector interfaces.

"We anticipate several new-product introductions in the near future, which will be available through Graybar channels," said Bret A. Matz, Sun Conversion Technologies' president and chief technology officer.
