Chair of TIA's Technical Committee Named

April 4, 2001 The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has named James W. Romlein to chair their Technical Committee.

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) (www.tiaonline.org) has named James W. Romlein, P.E., president of MIS Labs, to chair TIA's Technical Committee. The Technical Committee has overall responsibility for establishing the broad technical policy of the association, including the organization and operating policies of the Standards and Technology Department and TIA engineering committees. Mr. Romlein currently serves as chairman of TIA's TR-41.5 'Multimedia Systems' and TIA's TR-41.7.2 'Premises Safety.'
