New TeleLAN facilitates mobile computing

May 25, 2001 TeleAdapt announced the release of TeleLAN for connecting laptops to LAN devices.

May 25, 2001 TeleAdapt (www.teleadapt.com), a supplier of mobile computing solutions, recently announced the release of TeleLAN for connecting laptops to LAN devices. Designed for business travelers, who use laptops in Ethernet wired locations, TeleLAN provides over 2 meters of instant Ethernet cable from a compact auto-retractable spool.

"The TeleLAN represents a handy solution," observes Brent Whiley, senior manager of channel and retail for TeleAdapt. "The TeleLAN is less than two inches in diameter making it easy and convenient to carry around whether at home or abroad."

Available through TeleAdapt's Website, TeleLAN can be used to connect an Ethernet equipped PC laptop or G3 PowerBook/iBook to any CAT 5 10/100 Ethernet LAN network for up to 100MHz communications applications. TeleLAN results meet ANSI/TAI/EIA 568-A CAT 5e performance specifications.
