May 2, 2001 Fluke Networks has expanded its Web-based consultant-partnership program, New Visions for New Standards (www.fluke-net.com/consultants), to include information on permanent-link testing. Resources available at the site include: a TIA/EIA-568B statement of work, upon which users can base specifications for all copper-cabling installations; a software application that allows users to analyze and document copper and fiber test results; a white paper explaining how test equipment can affect whether the permanent link will pass or fail; and a product spotlight on Fluke Networks' permanent-link adapter.
