May 16, 2001 InterGis (www.intergis.com) has announced the availability of its ConnectRoute software. Available as a software product or Internet service, ConnectRoute lets companies perform dispatching, routing and scheduling operations, while tracking product pickups and deliveries or other service-related activities. The system can also inform customers of delivery times and can track planned versus actual driving, arrival, and work times.
InterGis claims that the software can cut fuel costs and travel times by as much as 25%. ConnectRoute supports companies in any business, and works by optimizing their existing dispatching systems.
