Advanced Fibre Communications, Inc. (www.fibre.com) announced that Greg S. Steele, senior vice president and chief operating officer for AFC, will be leaving the company June 30, 2001. AFC will be evaluating candidates to replace Mr. Steele as senior vice but does not intend to fill the position of chief operating officer at this time.
