August 29, 2008 - It is likely the TR-42 Plenary group will approve publication when it meets in October.

August 29, 2008 -- In an August interim meeting, the Telecommunications Industry Association's TR-42.1 Commercial Building Cabling Committee agreed to release the 568-C.0 and 568-C.1 documents for publication. "The TR-42 Plenary is likely to approve publication in the October meeting," according to Herb Congdon, who is Secretary of the TR-42.1 Committee as well as chair of the larger TR-42 Engineering Committee.

Congdon has authored an article on the 568-C standard's progress that will appear in the September issue of Cabling Installation & Maintenance. Earlier this year he presented on the standard in a Web seminar covering TIA standards.
