September 25, 2008 -- The Network Cabling Directory has launched, an online service billed as providing a convenient way for customers to receive multiple quotes from pre-screened structured cabling contractors across the U.S.
According to a press release, the directory works thusly: persons in charge of an organization's office relocation or network upgrade call a single, national toll free number, or fill out an online Request for Quote form and receive free quotes and site surveys from up to five local cabling installers within a few hours. The directory also provides articles and information to aide those who are facing a network upgrade or office move.
The Network Cabling Directory also offers opportunities for local cabling installers to grow their business. By joining the directory's Supplier Program, cabling contractors and installers can list their companies in a nationwide directory for free. As prospective customers submit the details of their telecommunications projects, these Requests for Quotes (RFQs) are then paired with local cabling contractors.
The Network Cabling Directory does not charge its suppliers an annual or monthly service fee to receive Request for Quotes, nor are suppliers required to purchase sales leads unless they choose to.
