CommScope debuts Uniprise ReadyPATCH pre-terminated fiber and copper systems

July 11, 2008 -- CommScope Enterprise Solutions has announced the dual North American release of its Uniprise ReadyPATCH fiber and copper (Cu) systems for data center environments. The pre-terminated fiber and copper cabling platforms, respectively, are designed to enable hassle-free installation in a fraction of the time required by traditional implementation methods, says the company.
According to the company, the ReadyPATCH fiber platform combines pre-terminated, factory-tested hardware and backbone trunk cables with ruggedized MPO-single fiber fanout patch cords, array cords and standard fiber patch cords. The system enables fibers to be ready for immediate service, and comes with the option of utilizing Uniprise's keyed fiber LC connectors and adapters for enhanced network security, helping to reduce infrastructure infiltration from unauthorized connections. In addition, the ReadyPATCH fiber system brings parallel optics capabilities to data centers wanting to evolve toward faster network speeds over time.
Data centers utilizing Category 5e and 6 cabling can take advantage of the installation speed of ReadyPATCH Cu solution. This fully customizable offering includes factory terminated and tested copper cabling harnesses which support quick, hassle-free installations, says the company. Harnesses can be configured in sizes up to 24 cables and equipped with modular jacks and plugs in a wide variety of color combinations.
