May 23, 2008 -- The Dual S-Video Balun, geared toward the custom audio/video market, is the latest product offering from MuxLab. The balun allows up to two S-Video channels to be transmitted via four twisted pairs in a point-to-point scenario and is designed for A/V systems that require multiple S-Video connections such as rental and staging, A/V mixing, and camcorder systems.

Used in pairs, the Dual S-Video Balun supports S-Video for 1,000 feet via Category 5 twisted-pair cable. The product features two S-Video jacks and one 8-pin modular (RJ-45) connector for Category 5/5e/6 termination. It is compatible with other MuxLab products that support S-Video. The product works in conjunction with DVD players, cable TV receivers, PC video cards, laptops, DLP projectors, camcorders, media servers, and DL2 stage lighting systems.
