Wall-mount 48DVC PoE injector

Sept. 20, 2012
Injector plugs into an AC outlet and is ideal for being deployed in tight spaces to power wireless access points.

The wall-mount 48VDC "all-in-one" Power over Ethernet injector from L-com "is designed to simplify PoE setups and minimize their space requirements by eliminating the need for a separate power supply," L-com says.

The 48VDC unit complements 12- and 24VDC wall-mount units that L-com introduced in August. "Most radio products like wireless access points and bridges require 48VDC," the company notes. "This new wall-mount model is ideal for tight spaces."

L-com's director of product development Patrick Pesa said, "We immediately recognized the need for a wall-mount 48VDC product for our all-in-one line. We quickly designed a model to accommodate the wireless radio applications that we already support with antennas, cables and enclosures."

The product will be available to ship in October.
