March 11, 2009 -- Fluke Networks has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Toyo Corporation, a technology distributor and value-added reseller in Japan, to sell the Fluke Performance Management and Portable Networks Analyzer product lines. In addition to signing the agreement with Toyo, Fluke announced the latest version of its Visual Performance Manager network management system. Toyo will begin offering the new Visual Performance Manager 5.0 system to interested customers immediately.

"We are excited to be working with Toyo as our exclusive sales partner in Japan," says Paul Caragher, president of Fluke Networks. "Toyo has a track record of bringing technology solutions to the Japanese market with unparalleled customer intimacy and commitment to quality. We could not have a better partner for expanding Fluke Networks access into the Japanese enterprise customer. Fluke Networks, in conjunction with our existing partners, has built a leadership position in the Japanese market with our copper and fiber optic cable certification tools and portable network test tools. We look forward to our partnership with Toyo duplicating that success with our new Performance Management products and our portable network analyzers."

"Toyo Corporation is the technology interface between Japan and the world," adds Yousuke Watanabe, president and CEO of Toyo Corporation. "By providing our customers the new solutions from Fluke Networks, we continue our process of offering the best in measurement technology, the knowledge bridge connecting our customers to that technology and the value added engineering, education, product localization and training services needed to enhance those solutions."

With the introduction of Fluke Network's Visual Performance Manager 5.0, Toyo will be able to offer its customers the company's latest networked application performance management system. One of the benefits of this system is its ability to improve critical business application/service deployments and the introduction of application acceleration technologies, maintains Fluke. Using Visual Performance Manager, network managers can both identify applications that are primary candidates for optimization and track the results of the acceleration effort.

Visual Performance Manager 5.0 also includes enhancements to provide executive overviews of the status of critical business applications. Using the heat chart concept, end user response time of multi-tier applications are displayed and tracked for intervals ranging from 1 day up to 1 year. Conformance and deviations from the response time baselines are indicated by green, yellow, or red. When a deviation occurs, the network manager can easily click through the heat chart to the actual alarm and the affected sites, significantly speeding up root cause analysis.

Under the terms of the agreement, Toyo will begin offering Fluke Networks Performance Management and Portable Networks Analyzer products to customers immediately, with shipments and deliveries expected to begin April 1.
