DuPont Cabling Solutions (www.dupont.com/cablingsolutions) recently named Robert D. Kenny global technology manager. In his new role, Kenny oversees research and development of fluoropolymer cabling resins that help to preserve critical information-technology infrastructures in the event of a fire.
Before joining DuPont, Kenny was vice president and general manager of premises solutions at Krone Digital Communications, then ADC when that company purchased Krone. Prior to that he worked for Belden Wire and Cable in multiple areas including engineering, manufacturing, and product management.
Kenny holds 12 patents related to communications wiring and connectivity. He also has authored numerous articles and white papers on communications cabling that have appeared in various trade publications. He also is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and conferences.

DuPont Cabling Solutions provides DuPont Abandoned Cable Services, which offers assessment services for identification and reporting of abandoned cable hazards in office buildings, planning for infrastructure improvement and management, connections with local labor, removal and recycling logistics.
