Ortronics/Legrand appoints new VP of marketing

December 6, 2006 -- Marybeth Marx has been appointed as the company's vice president of marketing.

December 6, 2006 -- Ortronics/Legrand, a provider of high performance fiber, copper and wireless structured cabling platforms, announced that Marybeth Marx has been appointed as the company's vice president of marketing.

In this role, Marx will lead all strategic marketing as well as product management and marketing for Ortronics/Legrand. Based in New London, CT, she will report to Mark Panico, the company's president.

According to a press release, Marx brings extensive experience in marketing and product development to the company. Most recently, she worked as general manager and director of marketing/business development for Praxair Inc. Prior to Praxair, she was vice president of product development for Lowara Srl, an ITT Industries company, and director of product planning and marketing for ITT Fluid Technology Corporation.

"As Ortronics continues to evolve and explore new areas for growth, Marybeth's expertise will be a tremendous asset to us," comments Panico. "We are very excited to have her on board and are confident that her leadership in strategic marketing will help us accomplish our goals of innovation and advancement."

Marx holds a MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
