WeiTel appoints engineering manager

August 3, 2007 -- Weintraub Telecomm LLC (WeiTel), a provider of network design-and-build services, has announced the appointment of Terry W. Gilchrist as engineering manager.

August 3, 2007 -- Weintraub Telecomm LLC (WeiTel ), a provider of network design-and-build services for the cable, wireless and telecommunications industries, has announced the appointment of Terry W. Gilchrist as engineering manager.

According to a press release, in the role, Gilchrist will assist WeiTel's technical staff in designing and delivering solutions for emerging technologies for WeiTel clients.

"We are pleased to have Terry join our technical team," comments Robert Heany, WeiTel's senior VP of engineering. "We look forward to his help managing our company's expanding customer base and to using his wireless skills in meeting our customer's needs in this very active and competitive technology segment."

Most recently, Gilchrist was a manager of engineering operations at Sprint Nextel Corporation, with responsibility for the planning, construction and installation of telephone facilities, as well as staff training, in the Philadelphia region.

Prior to his Nextel experience, he was an independent contractor, a manager of transport and field engineering for Lucent Technologies and a project manager for Data Talk Communications, all in Maryland. He is a 1994 graduate of Cheyney University where he received a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering Technology with a concentration in electronics.
