January 29, 2007 -- The re-designed catalog includes more than 1,100 pages and over 15,000 part numbers of current products and technologies for addressing OEMs' communications needs.

January 29, 2007 -- Anixter Inc. (www.anixter.com), a global distributor of communication products, electrical and electronic wire and cable, and fasteners and other small parts (including "C" Class inventory components), recently announced the release of its 2007 Communications Products catalog.

The distributor says its re-designed 2007 catalog includes more than 1,100 pages and over 15,000 part numbers of current products and technologies for addressing OEMs' communications needs.

According to Anixter, the new catalog highlights the latest copper and fiber network cabling systems being deployed in the marketplace from industry-leading manufacturers, and also features the ancillary structured cabling accessories required to support these systems -- including racks, cabinets, cable management and power management products, tools and test equipment.

Specialized sections of the new catalog include 10 Gigabit Ethernet data cabling systems, IP surveillance, wireless, Power over Ethernet, and access control systems. A new IP Security section provides a snapshot of current networked products being deployed in the security market.

All of the products included in the catalog are searchable through a user-friendly index that includes both the manufacturer name and part number. Additionally, an updated glossary of current industry terms and acronyms is also available in the catalog.

Another enhancement of the 2007 catalog is the addition of the Anixter Standards Reference Guide in the catalog's Appendix section. The guide highlights up-to-date networking industry standards developed by the TIA/EIA, IEEE and ISO organizations.
